We wanted our sustainable vanilla to play a role in supporting not just the Tanzanian economy, but the futures of African wildlife as well.

Our Kilimanjaro Vanilla is grown, processed, and extracted in Tanzania. Here, the African wildlife is becoming increasingly threatened by poaching and loss of habitat. That’s why we decided to make wildlife conservation a major part of the Kilimanjaro Vanilla story. Blue Pacific Flavors is committed to donating 3% of net sales of Kilimanjaro Vanilla to the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF). African bush elephants are the world’s largest terrestrial mammals.  These majestic animals weigh in at 2-7 tons! Their impressive size can’t protect them from their biggest predator: humans. Illegal ivory trade, fueled by the global demand for elephant tusks, has severely threatened their numbers. When elephants are killed, Tanzania loses iconic creatures that are essential to supporting ecosystem services, and a vital source of tourism revenue. AWF plays a crucial role in preventing poaching, protecting habitats, and creating sustainable livelihood sources for local communities. The goal? To ensure elephants roam free for generations to come and people benefit from their survival.
